To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Channel Tunnel, 300 French and British Eurotunnel employees came together on 12 June 2024 for an exceptional run and walk in the heart of the most unique infrastructure in the world.

The “Middle Point”, the crossing between France and Great Britain is at the centre of the service tunnel and was the starting point for the runners, who were joined by walkers from Folkestone and Puits de Sangatte, the emblematic site of the “construction site of the century”. There was no individual winner, but a common goal: to cross the finish line together, whatever the distance (5, 10, 15 or 30 kilometres), in the spirit of teamwork inherited from the “builders” and still embodied by the “Eurotunnelers” 30 years after the tunnel’s opening.
